Executive MBA

”When I started my training, I had worked as a supervisor for less than 15 years, now for 20 years. Working life is constantly changing, and increasingly demanding tasks require continuous learning. You need to take care of your own skills not only through on-the-job learning.

The content of the MBA in Executive Education at the University of Vaasa responds well to the challenges of my own managerial and leadership work. I also think about other training paths, such as mentoring. However, I felt it was important to network with the supervisors and managers of different companies in the region.

I have gained a lot of practical benefits from the training. Understanding the big picture of business management has grown, and getting to know the business activities of other countries (France, Denmark, USA/Boston) has opened my eyes to see how, for example, different cultures and labor market policies affect business operations. These have been helpful in leading continuous change. I have also gained a lot of tools for many of the leadership and organizational challenges I have encountered along the way.”

It’s great that MBA modules can be completed at your own pace. My own work tasks and career development have required a lot, and committing to going through the entire training at once would not have been possible.
